Known for designing immersive pop-up environments, the Triangle Head Universe aims to channel these creative sensibilities into personalized spaces. Our design strategy embraces the functionality of minimalism, while embracing the proud adornment of personal collections and active workspaces. By disrupting the expected “norms” of interior decorating, we strive to transform standard commercial and living spaces into an unexpected sanctuary of colorfully curated and useful objects. Each live-in art installation represents a bespoke merging of art, design, and personal interests.
“THE SHOE BOX”
Private Apartment in Kansas City (c. 2022-present)
Located inside of a former hotel, the 450sqft studio apartment, known only to close friends and chosen family as “The Shoe Box”, became an underground destination for invitation-only small gatherings. The shared residence (and secret home studio) hosted an assortment of festivities such as holiday dinners, movie screenings, and game nights. Alongside a slowly-curated selection of bold colors and retro furnishings, the space was adored with a private art collection featuring works by Andy Warhol, Charles & Ray Eames, Nikki de Saint Phalle, Olaf Von Bohr, Ryan Wilks, Oliver Hibert, Jack Holly, and many others. The apartment also featured an extensive showcase of The LEGO Botanical Collection and LEGO City build sets, as well as a personal media library of books, zines, and vinyl records dating from the early 1900s to present day. As a finishing touch, an original symbol and customizable menu template were created to ensure an immersive experience for visiting friends and family.
