“THE SHOEBOX”

Private Apartment in Kansas City (c. 2022-present)

Nestled amongst the top floors of a former hotel, the 450sqft studio apartment, known only to insiders as “The Shoebox”, became an underground destination for invitation-only small gatherings. Alongside a curated selection of eclectic furnishings, the hybrid living/working space was adorned with a private art collection featuring works by Andy Warhol, Charles & Ray Eames, Nikki de Saint Phalle, Olaf Von Bohr, Ryan Wilks, Oliver Hibert, Jack Holly, and many others. The apartment also features a non-lending, psychical media library of books, zines, and vinyl records dating from the early 1900s to present day. As a finishing touch, original branding assets and customizable menu template were created to ensure an immersive experience for visiting friends and family.
